Hello, My Name Is …
本校のスーパーALTを紹介します！！
“　ロバート・バリー先生　”です！ 

何がスーパーか！？彼は常に「新たな挑戦」をしているＡＬＴです！
英語の授業だけでなく、地域の方との交流やスポーツ、ボランティア、野球部の応援に宮崎市まで来てくれたこともあります。そんな彼のチャレンジ精神はまさに“スーパー”です！
今日は日之影町や学校の印象について尋ねてみました。

I have been living in Hinokage for 7 months. I am very happy to be here. It is a very beautiful town. I am from a big city so getting used to living in a small town has presented its challenges. What is great about Hinokage though is all of the wonderful people who are willing to help me. Everyone in the town has greeted me very kindly. People are very helpful when I need something. I want to thank everyone I have worked with in the town! Working at Hinokage junior high school and Hinokage elementary has been amazing too. I really enjoy having conversations with the students everyday. It has been fun to experience the events we have at school. We just had Sports Day the other day. It was very exciting to watch the competition and cheer on the students. I am very grateful to the staff at both schools as well. They have welcomed me into their school and homes very graciously. I feel like I am a part of a family at my schools. I am excited and happy to continue living in Hinokage!

日之影町に住んで７カ月が経ちました。ここに住めてうれしいです。とても美しい町です。大きい都市出身なので、どんどん挑戦することでここでの生活に慣れてきました。

日之影にいる人々のすばらしいところは喜んで私を助けてくれることです。親切にあいさつをしてくれたり、私が何か必要な時にもとても協力してくれます。

また、この町で働けることに感謝したいです。日之影中学校や日之影小学校で働くことは素晴らしいです！生徒との会話は毎日楽しいです。

私にとってとても素晴らしい経験になるイベントがありました。体育大会で生徒たちが協議や応援に取り組むのを見るのはわくわくしました。２校の学校の先生方にはとっても感謝しています。

みんな私のことを学校や地域に歓迎してくれて、家族の一部になった気分です。日之影町に住み続けることをワクワク、楽しみにしています！！

難しい英語を通じて、ふるさとの人の温かさ、“想像して読む力”の大切さにも気付いたことでしょう。
